Canada is home to two thirds of the global Polar Bear population and Churchill is not the only Canadian locale to view the bears. Throughout Arctic Canada, Polar Bears can be found along the coastlines and sea ice in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut. Inuvik, and Labrador. Polar Bears are of cultural and spiritual significance to the Inuit people that reside in the northern communities throughout these territories and many offer various bear viewing opportunities for tourists by land and by sea.
